We’re all only human, as hard as that is to accept sometimes. This song was finished in the fall of 1997. I originally envisioned the song as being in the “White Room” mold, but not being Eric Clapton and lacking a suitable Ginger Baker, it ended up more in the direction of the Scorpions and other 80s metal, with maybe some Foo Fighters thrown in.
For the 25th anniversary version of Machine Dream, I tweaked the lyrics a bit and re-recorded the whole thing.
