The Story Behind the Song: “Woman to Woman”

“Woman to Woman” began life, as some of my songs have, specifically written for a church service; in this case it was an observance of Lesbian Awareness Day. I finished it in early April 2021, using a melody I had lying around for awhile. I don’t write many love songs, but this one came very easily and I like it for its upbeat quality. I kind of made up the video concept as I went, so the shoot stretched over multiple days; I tried my best to do my makeup and hair the same to preserve continuity. I’ve probably played this song live more than any other on the album; people seem to like it.
