Written before November 2000. Sometimes I get odd ideas for songs, the origin of which mystify me. This is one of them; the muse told me to write something from the point of view of a leaf, and who am I to argue? This one is obviously very Beatlesque. My band Unfrozen Cavemen played it live a few times.
I’m going to pause this “Stories Behind the Song” series for a little while, as I concentrate on the forthcoming release of my latest album Number 9. But, it will be back.
